About Dr. Edwin Lee, M.D., F.A.C.E.
His driving purpose for opening the Institute was to focus on prevention of diseases, rather than just treating the impact of diseases.
Thanks in part to his groundbreaking insight in his field, his best-selling books, and his many significant presentations at major medical conferences around the world, Dr. Edwin Lee is a respected expert authority on hormonal balance and wellness, and a leader in defining the future of regenerative and functional medicine.
He is uniquely board certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, and has completed specialized courses in Regenerative and Functional Medicine. And, he is the assistant professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Lee founded the Institute for Hormonal Balance in 2008. His driving purpose for opening the Institute was to focus on prevention of diseases, rather than just treating the impact of diseases – that in many cases could have been prevented.
Hormonal balance, with bioidentical or natural hormones, is the cornerstone for keeping the body and mind healthy. The Institute for Hormonal Balance has a holistic approach to integrating the best of western and eastern medicine, thereby improving the mind, body and soul so that one can heal naturally.
Dr. Lee is a best-selling author, and a 2013 recipient of the Living Now Book Award. His books include: Feel Good Look Younger; Your Best Investment; and Your Amazing Heart. He also has published several articles (in highly regarded professional journals) on internal medicine and on endocrinology, and was an author in the Textbook of Critical Care.
He graduated from Medical College of Pennsylvania, completed three years of Internal Medicine residency and then completed two fellowships – in Critical Care Medicine and in Endocrinology and Metabolism – at the University of Pittsburgh. He also served as the Team Endocrinologist for the Cleveland Indians during their spring training in Florida, and is an active member of the Age Management Medicine Group and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology.
Dr. Lee truly enjoys helping his patients achieve better health, and loves to practice what he preaches – which has allowed him to summit Mount Fuji, Mount Katahdin, Mount Washington and Mount Hallasan (South Korea), golf with his family, swim with the Masters swim team and participate occasionally in triathlon races.
