“I no longer dread the changes of aging, or feel like decline is inevitable.”
I made a commitment that I was going to run my first half-marathon on my 46th birthday. It seemed like a reasonable goal as I had been a runner for over 15 years. …
But as the training wore on, I began to feel it was an impossible goal. I was getting slower, and longer runs left me exhausted.
In fact, it seemed I had no energy for anything outside of work. I was hav- ing problems falling asleep and I no longer felt rested. I had always looked forward to things such as trips and outings, or time spent with my family, but now these activities seemed to exhaust me. It would have been easy for a phy- sician to label me with depression. But I didn’t feel depressed, I felt like I was… aging. Sadly, I felt like the best part of my life was behind me, and that this inevitable decline would continue.
Then a colleague suggested I see Dr. Lee. He listened to my story and we began a treatment plan. Through improved nutrition and hormonal balance I immediately felt a change. My training, my energy, my sleep, my whole atti- tude dramatically improved. It’s as if the clock has been turned back ten years. That’s ten years of vigorous, energetic life that I feel was given back to me. And best of all, I no longer dread the changes of aging, or feel like decline is inevitable.

“Don’t wait for a rude awakening like I did.”
One day I found myself in the hospital with palpitations and atrial fibrillation. Thankfully, my wife was at my side, anxious for my well-being and determined …
… to take control of the situation. Afterwards, she accompanied me to each appointment with Dr. Lee—and after every appointment she established ground rules (based on what Dr. Lee advised) for me, and then she ensured that I complied with those ground rules fully.
I lost more than 60 pounds thanks to Dr. Lee’s diet, exercise and adjustment of my medications. Dr. Lee has regularly and consistently monitored my lab reports, and made adjustments to my diabetic medications accordingly. His work has allowed me to discontinue my insulin injections, which were increas- ing my appetite and contributing to my unhealthy weight gain. Dr. Lee also started me on Byetta® to reduce my appetite and help me lose weight.
I feel like I did in college, which was also the last time I weighed this much. I just returned from an active vacation cruise with my wife—who is now planning our next adventure, perhaps to Antarctica.
Don’t wait for a rude awakening like I did. Seek Dr. Lee’s advice and begin your preventive care NOW!

“The importance of a balanced hormonal state, supplements and a proper diet.”
For years I’ve recognized that there are inherent differences in how I perform versus my peers. Although I was always able to perform my operative procedures …
… well throughout the day, in the evenings my energy levels were a lot lower. During the evenings, though, I felt as if I received a burst of energy after a power nap of ten to fifteen minutes.
I knew there was a problem, and so I mentioned it to my primary care physician who performed a battery of tests, including one adrenal test—a vanillylmandelic acid test. However, all my tests came back normal. There seemed to be no solution to my problem of feeling drained (which varied) and the fatigue (which was better with rest). I thought I had chronic fatigue syndrome. I tried some supplements, which I heard about through friends; however, the results were marginal at best.
Then I saw an advertisement in a local magazine about Dr. Lee and his practice called the Institute for Hormonal Balance. I didn’t contact him right away, but when my symptoms got worse, I made the call and saw him. He was able to give me a brief synopsis of what he thought my problems were, which were soon confirmed with laboratory tests. I had adrenal insufficiency/fatigue, confirmed by laboratory values to include low morning cortisol, afternoon cortisol higher than the morning level—but still overall low. That, without a doubt, explained the changes in how I felt.
He was able to provide me with natural supplements to affect the change. He also prescribed additional supplements, which were necessary—especially for my vitamin D level, which was very low, but is now within an acceptable range. Being at a certain age, my deficiencies were identified and the proper supplements were provided. Overall, I’ve noticed a dramatic difference in how I feel, and my outlook is much better because of my improved physical state.
I’ve made multiple recommendations for people to visit Dr. Lee because I do recognize the importance of a balanced hormonal state, supplements and a proper diet. Dr. Lee has made a world of difference.

“I believed that I was a heart attack in motion.”
I am a 43-year-old podiatrist from Virginia, and after talking with my sister-in-law, who recently saw Dr. Lee, I decided to invest in my health. I started to see Dr. Lee in …
… 2009. I was in private practice, a new mother, a wife and homemaker with extreme fatigue. Feeling burned out, combined with the effects of perimenopause, had begun to take its toll. I couldn’t sleep, suffered from extreme fatigue, hot flashes, mood swings and weight gain—and these were just a few of my problems!
I believed that I was a heart attack in motion. I know Dr. Lee’s focused attention and his willingness to think outside the “medical box” has given me quality of life back. He has diagnosed me with severe adrenal fatigue and also with progesterone deficiency. I now sleep like baby with sublingual progesterone. I also have more energy than ever, even outlasting my five-year-old son during an all day adventure at Disney World. I feel like I have recaptured my health. I thank Dr. Lee for his guidance, and I now know that I will live a longer, happier and healthier life.

“All my symptoms have disappeared.”
Let me start off by personally thanking Dr. Lee for my newfound health and vitality. For years I had been plagued with chronic fatigue, recurrent infections, pitting ….
… edema and excessive weight gain.
Dr. Lee’s medical expertise finally led to the discovery that I was suffering from adult-onset GHD (growth hormone deficiency). Since I’ve started physiologic replacement therapy, all my symptoms have disappeared and I’ve been able to come off disability to continue my profession as a pediatrician. Kudos to Dr. Lee!

I’ve found the energy to come out of retirement.”
I am a 71-year-old physician and have been with Dr. Lee for many years. Dr. Lee has helped me by increasing my energy, by reducing my four blood pressure …
medications down to two, and by losing 30 pounds. Dr. Lee has optimized my testosterone, growth hormone and my nutrition.
I have also received several detox treatments in his office and I’ve noticed that I tend to focus better after the treatments.
I’m now enjoying life more and, thanks to Dr. Lee, I’ve found the energy to come out of retirement and return to part time work as a physician again.
